Maintenance Dispatcher
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Dispatcher is responsible for assisting internal and external business partners by answering calls, creating work orders, and coordinating repairs for the maintenance department
Answers emergency calls and coordinates repairs when necessary
Responds to phone calls, records information, and creates work orders requests
Coordinates and controls maintenance functions and service to call-in requests to assure prompt response
Accurately dispatches the required service technician or contractor with the correct skill level for the service call minimizing unnecessary costs and building customer confidence
Communicates the status of the service call to the Tenant while it is in progress and follows up with the Tenant after the service call has been completed
Works closely with Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians and Subcontractors to provide administrative tracking support
Consistently communicates with Supervisors, acting as the liaison between Maintenance Technicians, Subcontractors, Supervisors and Tenants.
Willing and able to learn the details of property and applying this knowledge to dispatching.
Qualifications
Communication: Skill in communicating effectively at all levels of the organization and with Tenants, both orally and in writing
Customer Service: Skill in providing customer service, including listening to Tenant needs, identifying solutions, assessing quality of customer services, and evaluating customer satisfaction
Computer Use: Skill in using a computer, the internet, and the ability to learn new software to perform job-related functions
Attention to Detail: Is careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
Relationship Building: Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with others
Reporting: Skill in preparing and producing timely and accurate oral and written reports
Written Expression: Ability to use words and sentences in writing so others will understand
Written Comprehension: Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
No travel required.
This position is done in a typical office setting, mostly sitting at a desk. Frequent use of computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone. Some standing, bending, and lifting light files is required.
May require occasional bending, stooping, and lifting of files, light office equipment, etc.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
