Position Summary:
Reedy & Company Realtors seeks a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in various settings, including new construction and existing buildings. This position requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver high-quality work with efficiency and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain a variety of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drainage systems, and related components.
Perform thorough inspections and testing of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine installation requirements and ensure compliance with project plans.
Collaborate effectively with general contractors, project managers, other tradespeople, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain a strong understanding of and adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues in both residential and commercial settings, utilizing strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients, answering questions, and explaining work procedures in a clear and concise manner.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
Valid Journeyman Plumber License in Louisiana is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, including principles, materials, and best practices.
Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent reading and interpretation skills of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues.
Experience working in both residential and commercial environments.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting, standing, and reaching.
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands and fingers for typing and using computer peripherals.
